Why Nutrition Matters in Cycling

Whether you're riding a Canyon road bike or a Trek mountain bike, nutrition is the key to maintaining performance. Proper fueling ensures endurance, recovery, and reduced fatigue across all terrains.

Pre-Ride Fueling

Before hitting the road or trails, load up on slow-digesting carbs, lean proteins, and hydration. This prepares your body for long climbs and sustained efforts.

During the Ride

Stay hydrated with electrolyte-rich drinks and consume simple carbs (gels, bars, bananas) every 30–45 minutes. This keeps energy levels steady, especially on endurance rides.

Post-Ride Recovery

Recovery is crucial. Replenish glycogen stores with a mix of carbs and protein (ideal ratio 3:1). Hydrate well to restore balance and support muscle repair.
